Connect With A Buddy

Connect With A Buddy is a client-centered program that focuses on helping gay, bisexual, or questioning men adopt and maintain HIV risk-reduction behaviors. The project provides ongoing, individualized and culturally grounded prevention, support, and service brokerage. Connect With A Buddy is a 5-session program that is opened to all men (ages 18-51), regardless of cultural background and HIV status.

The Wall-Las Memorias counselors work with clients to create realistic goals to promote personal health and wellness, and encourage growth through one-on-one meetings. Connect With A Buddy participants can also benefit from a number of resources provided through the Men's Connection program. Those resources including free HIV testing, linkage to care, mental health services, healthcare enrollment, substance abuse prevention services, and spiritual development.
