At the conference, The Wall-Las Memorias Project released important study findings from the “Voces de Fe y Cultura” research project. The project studies the influence that faith and religion play in HIV/AIDS and the Latino community. The abstract, presentation, and press release for the study is now available for download

The Home Plate Restaurant Awards takes place on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the famous Cicada Restaurant located at 617 South Olive Street in downtown Los Angeles.

At the Home Plate Restaurant Awards you will be joined by our Honorary Chair, the great Dodger outfielder, Andre Ethier. CBS News Anchor Laura Diaz and radio broadcaster Jorge Jarrin will be the masters of ceremonies for the evening. Taste some of the finest foods from Cicada Restaurant, Yxta, Frida Mexican Cuisine, La Guelaguetza, Cemitas & Clayudas, Attila the Flan, and La Serenata de Garibaldi. Nevarez Vineyards and Alex Sotelo Cellars will provide the finest wines of California.

Tickets are $75 each and $125 for VIP. The VIP reception will be hosted in the beautiful Oviatt.
