RISE UP & ACT: YOUTH FOR CHANGE

riseup 2.0

Rise Up & Act: Youth for Change (RUAA) empowers transitional-age youth (ages 12-26) through community mobilization and organizing efforts, advocating for healthier public policies on substance abuse. This initiative fosters empowerment, nurtures leadership, and enhances agency. Rise Up & Act: Youth for Change activates community mobilization, engages youth in activism and advocacy, raises awareness about substance use prevention, and promotes dialogue between youth and system leaders.

Rise Up & Act: Youth for Change invites all youth (ages 12-26) to join this interactive advocacy program! You can become involved in weekly peer-led meetings, virtual training sessions, annual summits, and our yearly Rise Up & Act: Youth for Change conference.

The innovative Rise Up & Act program forms a key part of a county-wide endeavor to curb further Substance Use impact on vulnerable communities. This youth-led program offers up-to-date information from the Public Health Department and leverages social media to foster meaningful connections with youth across all platforms, contributing to the spread and education of our vulnerable communities.
