NOCHE DE LAS MEMORIAS

Noche De Las Memorias is commemorated on World AIDS Day each year, marking the anniversary of the founding of The Wall Las Memorias (TWLM) as well as the ceremonial dedication to those who have been lost to the AIDS epidemic. The World AIDS Day event is hosted at The Wall Las Memorias AIDS Monument (Lincoln Park, Los Angeles) and is free and open to the community. It is an evening of prayers, music, and poetry in commemoration of the national awareness day. New names of those lost to the epidemic are added to the AIDS monument on that night and revealed in a special candle lighting ceremony.
