The Wall Las Memorias Project (TWLMP) would like to thank you for participating in our Act Now Against Meth Virtual Roundtable on Tuesday, July 21st.. We enjoyed having community members and health professionals join our conversation on crystal meth and HIV amongst queer, gay and bisexual men in Los Angeles.

Big thank you to LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, L.A County Board PresidentMario Perez, Director of the Division of HIV and STD Programs (DHSP), Dr. Gary Tsai, Interim Director and the Medical Director of SAPC, Cheryl Barrit, Executive Director of Los Angeles County HIV Commission, and Dr. Steve Shoptaw, Center Director of UCLA’s Center for HIV Identification, Prevention and Treatment Services (CHIPTS). We also appreciate our community testimonies from Eric Dixon and Joey Flamboyant (TWLM Community Organizer).

Our next steps are to meet with community member and to create a strategy and recommendations to address crystal meth in Los Angeles. The Wall Las Memorias Project and Act Now Against Meth will bring these recommendations to the Los Angeles County.
