The Wall Las Memorias (TWLM) hosts a number of events and activities throughout the year that encourage community involvement in health awareness and prevention. All events are developed by the organization to encourage community participation while providing community members with the education and tools to live healthy balanced lives. >> Alliance for Change presents Happy Hora Social – September 15th at 4:30 PM (PT) – The virtual series includes free community presentation that explores substance abuse awareness and prevention tips. >> Rise Up & Act Youth Summit – October 23rd at 10:00 AM (PT) – Youth from throughout Los Angeles County are invited to the first Rise Up & Act Youth Summit happening this fall! >> TWLM AIDS Monument Rededication Ceremony – December 1, 2021 – With festivities happening in and around the monument site, join us for a week of live musical entertainment, VIP experiences, community resources, and a special rededication ceremony with elected officials, community leaders, healthcare advocates, and high-profiled celebrities! Along with the rededication of the site, TWLM will also be unveiling more than 300 new names of loved ones lost to HIV/AIDS collected from our global community and engraved onto the monument.
