The Wall Las Memorias (TWLM) hosts a number of events and activities throughout the year that encourage community involvement in health awareness and prevention. All events are developed by the organization to encourage community participation while providing community members with the education and tools to live healthy balanced lives. >> Afterhours HIV Testing – Thursdays from 5 PM - 8 PM (PT) – We’re hosting our “Afterhours” free and confidential rapid HIV testing Thursday nights at our Boyle Heights HUB. Appointments available online, walk-ins also welcomed! Learn more, click here.
>> Turkey Giveaway and Food Distribution - November 17 from 2 PM - 6 PM (PT) - We're hosting a Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway along with a pop-up clinic for Covid-19 vaccine, flu shot, monkeypox vaccine. Bring the family to enjoy craft games, music and raffles. Attendees must pre-register for event. Turkey are for pre-registered guests and while supplies last. One free turkey per household. >> Friendsgiving Potluck Party - November 22 from 7 PM - 9 PM (PT) - Join Men's Connection, POZ Power, She Her Hers and Conecta2 for a fun community Friendsgiving. Bring a dish to share and feast among friends. Limit space available, register now.
>> 29th Annual Noche de las Memorias – December 1st – Noche de Las Memorias is our signature World AIDS Day community event dedicated to remembering the lives and memories of those who we have lost to the AIDS epidemic. Our World AIDS Day event will include an evening of prayer, inspirational messages, guest appearances from celebrities, and musical performances in commemoration of the national awareness day.
