COMMUNITY HEALTH
As a trusted grassroots community organization, The Wall Las Memorias (TWLM) works to advocate for policy and systems change to combat issues such as health care inequality, LGBTQAI2-S access to mental health services, and as educators on relevant health issues like COVID-19.
AVAILABLE SERVICES
>> Linkage to Healthcare Coverage - All programs at TWLM offer linkages and warm connections to appropriate general health and mental health care, including referrals to healthcare coverage such as My Health LA and Medi-Cal.
>> Community Engagement - TWLM continues its mission of building the next generation of leadership through various educational activities for community members at large. Our Boyle Heights specific events include workshops on health prevention and awareness, advocacy, leadership development, and mental health stigma reduction.
>> COVID-19 Resources - TWLM is working hard to keep our community members safe and healthy during this Covid-19 pandemic. Campaign - As a community-driven campaign, Protect LA...Vaccinate! aims to educate community members about COVID-19 dangers and safety practices, offering free resources to community members and hosting various vaccination events throughout Los Angeles.
