Beyond Safe Spaces TAY

In partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, Beyond Safe Spaces is a mental health program that provides Toolkit Trainings to any staff who may interact with LGBTQI2-S youth to educate staff on how to work with LGBTQI2-S youth and help create a safer space for the community. Community Presentations are also offered to help educate the community about anti-stigma and discrimination, bullying prevention, suicide, etc. 

Parent/caregiver support groups and LGBTQI2-S youth support groups (16-26) are also offered to go over the coming out process, safe sex, intimate partner violence prevention, substance use prevention, mental wellness, and bullying and suicide prevention. 

Youth Support Group Age: 12-17, 18-26

Staff will also help with connections to referrals/linkages when asked by participants to help with bridging gaps in any lack of services.
