INFECTION & TRANSMISSION

You can get or transmit HIV through unprotected sex or by sharing needles or other equipment used to inject drugs.  

There are only 5 fluids that can transmit HIV:

  • Blood

  • Semen

  • Pre-cum

  • Breast Milk

  • Vaginal Fluids

The following "bodily fluids" are NOT infectious:

  • Saliva

  • Tears

  • Sweat

  • Feces

  • Urine
